Kristina Harris began acting, singing and dancing at a young age in California, and moved to New York City to attend NYU's Tisch School of the Arts Drama and Musical Theatre Conservatories. Armed with solid training, Kristina performed in regional theatre and a national tour before starting to write screenplays and also pursuing a graduate degree. She began writing her award winning short film, Diminished Chords, around the time she moved to Wales to work on a PhD in Biochemistry. While in Wales, she founded the Broadway Dance Society at Cardiff University, where she taught dance and choreographed a showcase involving more than 30 dancers. After receiving her PhD in Biochemistry, Kristina returned to New York City and shot her first film: Diminished Chords.

Diminished Chords is a story about a hearing impaired girl who wants to learn to sing, but has been told she will never be able to match pitch due to her hearing loss. The story follows this girl through many trials and through the story, she comes to accept herself, and overcome many of her challenges. Diminished Chords won 6 awards at Film Festivals, and was selected to screen at 10 festivals in 2011-2013.

Kristina's webseries, Math Warriors, is about math nerds from Yale striving to win the national championship Math-a-Thon. The series has gotten rave reviews and has been supported by national and international math organizations. MATH WARRIORS also won Best Narrative Short at the 2013 Winnipeg Film Festival. While Kristina has been pursuing her acting, writing, and film-making passion, she has also taught Biochemistry and General Chemistry at Barnard College-Columbia University, and NYU.
